With ERC-721 contracts, the blockchain serves as a ledger for ownership of Bytes and verification of user identities. Web3 provides a secure and transparent system for managing digital identities and ensuring trust within the community.
All content created using bythen platform tools will be recorded on the blockchain, ensuring a verifiable record of ownership and creation history. This guarantees content authenticity and provenance, essential for protecting intellectual property and establishing digital identity. Recorded contents will be associated with ERC-721 NFTs using ERC-6651 Token Bound Accounts (TBAs). A Token Bound Account is an interface and registry for smart contract accounts owned by ERC-721 tokens, linking these accounts (or wallets) to a specific NFT and its owner. These smart accounts can store assets, and content, and execute transactions, maintaining an unalterable record of all on-chain activities associated with a particular ERC-721 NFTs (i.e.: a user’s digital identity)
For bythen's original and collaborative IP collections, TBAs will be directly linked with the respective NFTs. For derivative NFTs, TBAs will be linked to the original character IP NFT (e.g.: Azuki, BAYC, Pudgy Penguins). If the character IP owner transfers or trades the NFT, the linked TBA containing records of all on-chain activities will automatically transfer to the new owner, ensuring seamless continuity of asset management and ownership records.
By combining these elements, our product enables Advanced PFP owners to build and protect unique IPs centered around their Bytes, offering new opportunities for creative expression, monetization, and engagement in the digital world.
