# Onboard your Bytes

To initialize a new Bytes, you’ll need to complete a quick one-time onboarding process. This step ensures your Byte is ready for interaction. Even if you’ve onboarded other Bytes before, each new Bytes must go through this activation process.

1. **Bytes' Name**

Give your Bytes a name to establish its identity.

2. **Age**

Set your Bytes' age to influence how it communicates and interacts.

3. **Gender**

Choose your Bytes' gender to shape its voice and tone.
